A good idea to
celebrate the European Day of National Parks is to go hiking.
This sport lies in
walking through marked paths which were homologated by the competent Authority
of each country.
There are a lot of
hiking routes around the World, and all of them are a pleasant and amazing way
of doing sport in direct contact with the Nature.
Besides, as there are
routes of all difficulty levels, from very easy and short to those which are high
mountain sports, for sure that you will find very near great routes to go hiking,
independently of your level.
But do not forget that
all of us have to take care of the enviroment, do not let waste and of course
do not set fire. Also have concern of animals and plants during your route.
Basis advices to go hiking
are: inform you about the route, paths and expected time for completion, the
dificulty level, the distance and the meaning of all signals that you will find
throughout the route. Also it is needed to know in advance the weather, since
some routes are not recommended under some weather conditions. A route map, mobile and GPS are almost essential (very
advisable to inform some familiar or friend about your route).
The equipment is focus
on, as a minimum, good hiking boots (your sport shop will recommend you the
best option for your level), comfortable clothes, walking stick (it reduces the
load of your knees), drink (almost one and a half litre of water or isotonic
drinks), and some energetic food (chocolate, dried fruits, fruit, etc).
And now, ready to start
the route, we show you some pictures of paths that we like a lot!
