Gift for cyclists

If you want to give a gift to someone who likes cycling, or any sport in general, we recommend you the camera Sony HDR-AS 100VR.

With it you can record all cycle routes and upload it to internet for sharing with your friends.

It has Wifi, remote control and view from its watch, and GPS which allows to add the GPS data to your routes and display them as maps. It is also waterproof.

We have seen it and we think it's great.

It costs about 350 €.

Below some pictures that we downloaded from the advertising.

San Fermin drink

Wine is the primary booze gastronomy of Navarre. Navarre is a wine region with denomination of origin in (D.O.) which extends from the south of Pamplona to the Ebro river basin within this autonomous community.

One of the main characteristics that define the D.O. Navarre is the great diversity of climates. In Navarre an exceptional situation occurs: the confluence of the Atlantic, Continental and Mediterranean climates.

Although D.O. Wines Navarre offer a wide range of possibilities, we suggest an aging or reserve red wine.

Cycle route in Scotland

One of the best experience, not only as a sporting but also a visual tour,  is to perform a cycle route through areas of great natural beauty, such as, for example, Scotland.

If this summer you plan travel to Scotland we recommend you to take the ferry to Isle of Skye, where you can make a small bike route on the A851 road from Armadale (which is where you will arrive after taking the ferry) to Kyle of Lochalsh, crossing the bridge of the A87 road.

It is a quiet road where you will meet nice landscapes as those of the pictures below:

San Fermin dessert

In Navarre all desserts related to milk are typical; therefore, this time we propose you a delicious homemade curd, locally known as "gaztanbera" that is made in the traditional "kaikus" made of wood with hot stones.

The two basic ingredients are milk of "latxa" sheep and rennet. You can accompany it with honey or jam and decorate it with meant leaves.

Here you are some pictures of this great dessert. Enjoy!

Fixie bikes

The "fixie" or fixed-gear bikes are nothing new, but now these bikes are all the rage in fluorescent tones, combining a retro style with bright colors.

Such bikes are often a single gear and due to those have no freewheel are always moving, so you can not stop pedaling. To brake you must pedal in the opposite direction to the march.

With no gears these bicycles are very light and require less force to move it.

To give you an idea, here you have some pictures of these bikes that we have seen at createbikes.com

San Fermin decoration

The red scarf is a very important element of San Fermin outfit; therefore, we propose you to decorate your home with this element.

As for its meaning and symbols there is no agreement and different versions coexist. The tradition includes the red scarf as a remembrance of the martyrdom of San Fermin who was beheaded in the city of Amiens during the persecutions of the third century. The red symbolizes the blood of the saint though there is also who notes the coincidence with the flag of Navarre.
