International Workers' Day

International Workers' Day is a celebration of the international labour movement that occurs on May Day, May 1st, a traditional Spring holiday in much of Europe. May 1st is a national holiday in more than 80 countries, and celebrated unofficially in many other countries. In some countries the public holiday is officially Labor Day while in others the public holiday marks the traditional Spring festival known as May Day. Other countries, such as the United States celebrate Labour Days on another date, usually with special significance to the labour movement in that country.
In 1889, the first congress of the Second International, meeting in Paris for the centennial of the French Revolution and the Exposition Universelle, following a proposal by Raymond Lavigne, called for international demonstrations on the 1890 anniversary of the Chicago protests. May Day was formally recognized as an annual event at the International's second congress in 1891.

International Jazz Day

Next April 30th is the International Jazz Day. We recommend you to look for a bar with live music and enjoy its energy.
If you have time and budget do not miss the chance of going to Osaka where the 2014 International Jazz Day celebration will kick off with a daylong series of jazz education programs, performances, and community outreach.
If it is not possible any of the above options, it is always possible to enjoy the Jazz through internet.
Following, our recommendations:

World Book Day

Next 23rd of April the World Book Day takes place, and UNESCO designed Port Harcourt (Nigeria) as the World Book Capital for this year 2014.

In 1995 UNESCO decided the World Book and Copyright Day, which is celebrated every 23rd of April. UNESCO decided that date since it is also the anniversary of the death of Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, and it is also the birth or death of Maurice Druon, Haldor K.Laxness, Vladimir Nabokov, Josep Pla and Manuel Mejía Vallejo.

Although Cervantes died on 22nd of April and was buried on 23rd of April according the Gregorian calendar, whilst Shakespeare died on 23rd April by the Julian calendar in use in England at the time.

We encourage you to give a book to some friend or yourself!

Margarita Cocktail

With the rising temperatures we suggest once of the most popular combined and the mixture quintessential mexican: Margarita Cocktail.

Blue Angel Cocktail

Spring brings turquoise skies and cocktails that trap the first rays of the sun and the blue sky, our proposal: Blue Angel Cocktail with 3 cl vodka, 1 cl blue tropic and sprite. Great if you accompanying it with jelly beans!

Dry Martini Cocktail with strawberries

The days are longer and at seven p.m. can still enjoy a Dry Martini with sun dipped strawberries. We recommend lowering the cocktail accompanying it with fresh strawberries because it is their season and because it takes 75 ml of vodka, a splash of martini, 3 strawberries and mint leaves.
